Minister Han Changfu meets ROK counterpart

Minister Han Changfu met with Lee Dong-phil, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea, in Beijing on April 7, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on agricultural S&T, the sixth industrialization for agriculture, animal disease prevention and control, agro-product quality and safety and trade, as well as agricultural multilateral cooperation.
Minister Han Changfu suggested that China and ROK should strengthen cooperation in the sixth industrialization for agriculture, veterinary service, veterinary drugs and rural labor structure research, fulfill the commitment on agro-product tariff concession at China-ROK Free Trade Zone, and promote the China, Japan and ROK Free Trade Zone negotiations.
Lee Dong-phil fully agreed with Minister Han on his proposal and expressed his willingness to make every effort to promote China-ROK all-round agricultural cooperation.
